Pramac, we are the energy generation!

Pramac

  • For the 11th year, Pramac has illuminated the International Circuit of Losail at Doha (Qatar)

  • For the eleventh year in a row, Pramac's energy has illuminated the International Circuit of Losail at Doha (Qatar), first race of the 2016 MotoGP season won by Jorge Lorenzo (Yahama), followed by Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati) and Marc Marquez (Honda).

Thanks to the renewed agreement with QMMF, Losail Circuit management, Pramac supplied 44 generators to light up the race on the Qatar track.

Since 2004 the MotoGP championship, the first level motorbike race category took place in Qatar at the Losail circuit. Due to the extremely warm conditions, since 2006, the race was held at night; this was possible thanks to the Pramac generators that had provided power to the 3,600 light fixtures that are distributed along the circuit, generating around 11 MW of power, enough to ensure the right visibility to all the riders competing in the races.

The 44 GSW diesel generators can generate 330 kVA each and are powered by Volvo Penta engines;  protected by a soundproof enclosure with a noise level of 68 dB(A) @ 7 m, they are equipped with an automatic control panel integrating AC03 control unit, a GPRS modem for remote control and sand trap air filters for the deserts storm.

The supply of generators has increased the strong connection between the MotoGP world championship and Pramac, celebrating the 15th anniversary of presence on the starting grid of the MotoGP championship this year.
