PRAMAC WINS A PRESTIGIOUS LEAN MANUFACTURING AWARD FOR ITS NEW “INDUSTRY 4.0” ASSEMBLY LINE
Pramac has been awarded a prestigious "Distinction Award for Innovation" in the Lean Icon 2019 competition for its implementation of Industry 4.0 automation across its assembly facility, based in Casole d’Elsa – Siena (Italy).
Promoted by ALES Europe, the European Lean Managers Society, the award recognizes companies that pursue innovation in manufacturing and implement best in class procedures and lean principles.
Pramac, one of the world leaders in the production of generating sets, was awarded the distinction following the development and investment of its three-year strategy to benefit from new concepts of automation, data traceability and interconnection of production lines to the management system.
The project involved a complete reorganization and a renewal of existing systems to take advantage of new automation and technological advancements in Industry 4.0, creating seamless integration to improve safety and production efficiency.
